Collar MADRID
Price range: €34.00 through €39.00
Special, handmade, wide and playful collars designed for poodles and other long-necked dog breeds. The inner part of the collar is lined with a special smooth fabric that protects the coat and helps prevent tangling and matting. The outer part is made from an eye-catching, playful fabric that is easy to clean and maintain. The collar is padded inside to ensure comfort and safety for your dog’s neck.
This type of collar reduces friction on the coat, allows the skin to breathe more easily, and distributes pressure more evenly around the sides of the neck when the dog pulls or tries to slip out.
When ordered online, these collars are made to measure based on the provided head and neck measurements, so it is very important to measure and indicate them correctly. While crafting the collar, we calculate the necessary length of the sliding part, which allows the collar to adjust and tighten just enough to prevent slipping out, while still leaving a slight gap so the neck is not uncomfortably tight.
NOTE: When taking measurements, it is important not to tighten too much, but also not to leave large gaps. During production, we additionally add approximately 1.5–2 cm to the total circumference to ensure the collar can be comfortably put on and taken off.
This collar line was developed in consultation with professional groomers from the dog grooming studio “Stilinga Letenėlė”, who have extensive experience with poodle coat structure and care, including show preparation.
IMPORTANT:
- The patterned fabric used in the middle of the collar is high-quality, durable, and water-resistant, but it is cut from fabric rolls. Therefore, the pattern placement and final color composition may slightly vary from the photos depending on the cut of the fabric;
- All collars are made to measure based on the provided measurements, so it is crucial to measure correctly. Custom-made products are not eligible for exchange or return, and the customer is responsible for providing accurate measurements.
Not sure about your four-legged size?
Our detailed collar illustration indicates the range of neck circumferences that will fit our XS sized collar. If your dog’s neck circumference is outside our XS size collar measurements, please review other available sizes and choose the most appropriate one.
Our detailed illustration indicates the two most important positions of circumferences to be measured. The arrow colored in peach indicates the exact position of neck circumference to be measured, the grey one – the highest point of the head to be measured. Please indicate measured neck and head circumferences when placing the order according to the illustration.

Dog coats are made to measure therefore accurate measurements are very important. For measurements, please use the provided illustration and measurement instructions.
MEASUREMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
- A (back length): measured from the base of the neck to the beginning of the tail.
- B (chest circumference): measured around the chest. If the dog has a lot of fur in the chest area, do not compress it too much when measuring so that the fur has room.
- C (chest length): measured from the start of the chest to the curve of the chest. If the dog is male, measure in a way that leaves enough space for urination.
- D (neck circumference): measured at the lower, wider part of the neck.
- E (length from neck to chest): an important measurement for males, taken from the start of the neck to the curve of the chest, passing the measuring tape between the front legs. If the dog is male, leave enough space for urination.
- F (space between front legs): measured while the dog is standing in a normal, natural position.

For the most accurate measurements, we recommend tying a tape around your waist (as marked with a green dot), as this point will serve as a reference for several important measurements.
MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Shoulder Width: Measure the full shoulder width from edge to edge across the back.
- Arm Circumference: Measure at the widest part of the upper arm as shown in the illustration.
- Armpit Circumference: Measure around the armpit, starting from the shoulder.
- Chest Circumference: Measure completely around the chest.
- Waist Circumference: Measure completely around the waist where the tape is tied. This is where the laces and ruffles of the upper part of the set will be.
- Hip Circumference: Measure the full girth at the widest part of the leg.
- Thigh Circumference: Measure around the thigh at the widest point.
- Back Length: Measure from the prominent bone at the base of the neck (spine) to the ribbon tied around the waist.
- Top Length: Measure from the band tied around the waist to where you would like the length of the top to end. For example, if you want the length of the top to reach the tailbone, measure from the tied tape to the tailbone. Note: The outer garment part of this set is not a tunic, so the maximum possible length is to the bottom of the buttocks.
- Length of Trousers: Measure from the tape tied around the torso to the ground.

The provided illustration shows the positions for measuring different circumferences. Please follow the illustration and the instructions in the product description for accurate measurements. For the best results, tie a tape around your waist (indicated by the green dot) as this serves as a reference point for several key measurements.
